March League Roundup

With Coronavirus precautions coming in during March and full lockdown imposed on 23rd, just two matches, which were rescheduled for 28th and 29th March, were not played.

February League Roundup

Storms Ciara and Dennis affected several matches so there were a number of postponements this month. However, on the 1st February, both Ladies’ matches were played, with both ending in 2-2 losing draws, and on 21st, Boys 18U A clinched top spot in Division 2 by a set with a win against Latika.

A 4-0 win for Ladies’ 2 and a 4-0 win for Men’s 2 against Division 4 leaders Wokingham 1 on the first weekend of the new decade and, the following weekend, 10U Mixed won their winter league group unbeaten…

After a disappointing start to the month it was good to have a weekend of wins on 16/17 November with Ladies’ 1 winning their postponed match against Marlow and Men’s 1, 2 and 3 winning against Bracknell, Maidenhead and Windsor respectively.

It was a tough first month in the Winter League for our teams with 4 wins and 8 losses but some good individual performances, nevertheless…

September League Roundup

The summer league matches came to a conclusion in September with the last two rounds of the Mixed Doubles League.

Many thanks and congratulations to Alison Nicholson, ably assisted by Mark Callaghan, who organised the Mixed teams and achieved promotion for the 2nds and 3rds while the 1st team stay in a strong Division 2.

August League Roundup

The Men’s Summer League matches were completed with the 3rd team’s postponed match away against Sonning 2 on Saturday.  A mixture of youth and experience, Dan Rippon was playing his first adult match for the club…

Ladies 1 & 2 on top!

New Ladies’ Captain Alison Nicholson had a great start this summer with both Ladies Doubles teams winning their divisions.  Some of the ladies’ squad celebrated their successful summer season with social tennis and trip to the pub and thanked Ali for captaining with flowers and bubbly.
