Head Coach Dom Evan-Hart
Dominic Evan-Hart is a Level 3 Qualified and LTA Licensed Coach. He was appointed Head Coach of Crowthorne Tennis Club starting January 17th 2014 and heads up our coaching team. Playing experience Having played tennis since the age of 8, he was coached as a junior by the Australian, Ken Fletcher who helped him reach a junior ranking within the top 20 in Great Britain. He represented the Southern Region of England and won the Berkshire open and closed tournaments in singles and doubles. Coaching experience Dom passed the Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications in 2012 and Level 3 in 2013. Dom is also qualified to teach cardio tennis and is totally up to date in the latest techniques and methods in both coaching and playing the game.

Involvement with Crowthorne TC Joining the club in 2006, Dom has represented Crowthorne Tennis Club in their First Men’s and Mixed Teams. He won the Men’s singles and doubles titles from 2007 – 2012 and Mixed in 2010 & 2011 and has been a member of the committee since 2009.

Outside interests and family Dominic is married to Natasha, a hotelier and they have two tennis playing boys, Oliver and Henry, a West Highland Terrier called Bob and a tortoise called Tommy. They live in the middle of Crowthorne Village and are at the heart of the community as both boys go to school locally.

Ambitions for Crowthorne Tennis Club Dominic has been focusing on increasing membership and participation at the Club, especially at the beginner, improver, junior and mini levels. He believes the Club needs to forge a stronger and more active relationship with local schools and the community.  He also plans to broaden the coaching and tennis related activities in order to secure new membership to the Club, both at the junior / mini and also adult levels. He plans to bring a collaborative and democratic approach, working closely with the adult members and committee to help them achieve their individual goals and those of the club as a whole. Dom received the Coach of the Year award at the Wokingham Borough Sports Council’s annual awards ceremony in November 2016. He was presented with his trophy by the guest for the evening, Ben Fletcher.   Ben was in the GB Judo Team at the Rio Olympics and was once a member of the Pinewood Club. Coach Andy Fryatt
Andy Fryatt is a Level 2 Qualified Coach and LTA Qualified Competition Organiser He has been Club Coach at Iver Heath Lawn Tennis Club in South Bucks since September 2014 and coaches in local schools in Iver and Iver Heath. Coaching experience Andy was appointed Club Coach at the Iver Heath club in September 2014 and gained his LTA Level 2 qualification. He is currently studying for the RPT (Spanish) alternative to LTA Level 3. He is also studying for a Mental Toughness Tennis Qualification and coaches in schools in the Iver and Iver Heath areas.
Involvement with Crowthorne TC Andy has been a member of Crowthorne TC, taking on the committee role of Men’s Captain and running the Men’s Doubles teams for several years as well as representing the club in Men’s and Mixed Doubles. He and Dominic were Men’s Doubles champions for five years’ running from 2007 to 2011 and Andy became Men’s Singles champion during his second spell at the club in 2015. He also won the Mixed Doubles title in 2008 and 2009. Some current members may remember the annual Millendreath Cup tournament which Andy ran for several years with invited pairs from local clubs taking part along with Crowthorne club members. Outside interests and family Outside tennis, Andy’s interests, apart from “living and breathing tennis”, include ice hockey, movies and music. He lives in Bracknell and is married with two children. Ambitions for Crowthorne Tennis Club Andy has already been assisting Dominic in running our Junior Tennis Camps during the school holidays and this will continue. From September 2017 he took over the Wednesday evening coaching sessions and will be looking at ways of increasing the range and variety of coaching activities at Crowthorne TC in the future.
Performance Coach Wojtek Specylak
Wojtek Specylak is a Level 5 (Equivalent) Qualified Coach and CEO of Acestars Wojtek’s native home is Poland where he was one of the top Junior Tennis players in the country. He has been running and growing Acestars for 12 years. He has also been working with international players and cooperating with global academies. Coaching experience Wojtek has 20 years of experience both in performance & recreational tennis. He holds multiple qualifications: RPT National Master Professional, PLTA Senior Professional, USPTA Professional, RPT Academy Director, Msc Sports Psychology.
Involvement with Crowthorne TC Wojtek began his formal involvement with Crowthorne Tennis Club early in 2019 when our Head Coach, Dominic, suggested he make CTC his base and encourage the juniors he coaches at various venues in the locality to become club members.  Membership of Crowthorne Tennis Club will enable Wojtek’s squad of players to experience competitive tennis in addition to the regular coaching they already receive.  Wojtek has been appointed Performance Coach at CTC and, although most of his group coaching will continue to take place at venues away from the club,  he will be available to club members for private coaching on our courts. Acestars Tennis Academy For over 10 years, Acestars have been providing high quality professional tennis coaching (individuals & groups) to communities in Berkshire, Hempshire & Surrey. Outside interests and family Ambitions for Crowthorne Tennis Club Wojtek’s ambition is to make Crowthorne Tennis Club a Centre of Excellence for teaching tennis to juniors.
Junior Manager Caroline Atkinson
Caroline Atkinson is our Junior Manager Caroline has been the committee member with responsibility for our Junior and Mini members for longer than most of us can remember.  She also took on the role of Welfare Officer in support of our Tennismark Status until the LTA changed their rules about who could be a Welfare Officer.  At Wokingham Borough Sports Council’s annual awards ceremony in November 2016 she was awarded a medal in the Unsung Heroes category to recognise her achievements.
Dan Rippon
Daniel Rippon assists the coaches at Crowthorne TC I have been playing tennis and a member of the Crows for 3 years and have played in the junior league for 18 months. For the last year I have been working as a coaching assistant, helping junior players, which I really enjoy, and this has also improved my game. I am planning on taking my LTA L1 & 2 coaching qualifications In the near future. I began studying Physics, Business studies and Art at Forest School  in September 2017.
