It was a tough November for our adult teams but our 18U Boys had wins in Divisions 1 and 2.

It was a tough November for our adult teams but our 18U Boys had wins in Divisions 1 and 2.
There were wins for all 3 men’s teams and points for both ladies’ teams on the first two weekends of the Winter League.
The highlights of the Summer season were Men’s 1 winning Division 3B in the doubles league and Boys 12U winning Division 2B of their league.
Earlier, Men’s National League 1 finished 2nd in Division 2 on equal points with the top team.
Mixed 2 continued theirt good start to the season with another 3-1 win in DIvision 4B, this time at home against Caversham Park 3.
The following day Ladies O40 Vets picked up valuable points in a 2-2 winning draw against Bracknell B in a postponed match to ensure their survival in Division 2.
But the following Saturday was a day to forget with rain about and it was surprising, since Mixed 1’s match away against Windsor 2 on hard courts was postponed, for the Mixed 2 match round the corner on grass at Home Park to go ahead.
The highlight of the season was Men’s 1 winning Division 3B and their promotion to Division 2. The final 4-0 win against Bracknell 3 by Jasper Richardson, John Phillips, James Brennan and David Holt secured the number 1 spot. However, we mustn’t forget the others who played their part in the team’s success, including Jon Blatchford and Taki Hasegawa – both since moved away – David Smith, Matt Paxton, Andy Sayer, Russell Finch and Simon Usher,
Reports on matches played in June in the Men’s and Ladies Doubles Leagues, the Veterans Leagues, the Junior Leagues and the Men’s National Leagues.
26 May – It’s over 2 months since we re-opened the courts and we’ve played about 20 league matches so far – with mixed results but some great individual and team performances. With Coronavirus precautions coming in during March and full lockdown imposed on 23rd, just two matches, which were rescheduled for 28th and 29th March, were not played.
Storms Ciara and Dennis affected several matches so there were a number of postponements this month. However, on the 1st February, both Ladies’ matches were played, with both ending in 2-2 losing draws, and on 21st, Boys 18U A clinched top spot in Division 2 by a set with a win against Latika.
A 4-0 win for Ladies’ 2 and a 4-0 win for Men’s 2 against Division 4 leaders Wokingham 1 on the first weekend of the new decade and, the following weekend, 10U Mixed won their winter league group unbeaten…
