SUMMER 2010
Berkshire Men's Doubles League
Men's 1 are in division 3A again having challenged for promotion last season. The seconds are in division 3B following promotion. The 3rds were also promoted and are now in division 5A, but the 4th team who won division 7B in their first season have been dropped this summer due to insufficient players

Matches are played Saturday afternoons with teams of 4 players playing 4 rubbers, each the best of 3 tie-break sets. 3 points are gained for a clear win, 2 for a 2-2 win on sets or games and 1 for a 2-2 loss.

Berkshire Over-45 Veterans League
We also have two teams in the Mens' Veterans (Over-45) League. Matches are 4 rubbers of two tie-break sets with a deciding tie-break if necessary. Veterans' matches normally take place midweek evenings with the occasional match on a Sunday morning. Crowthorne's Mens' Vets play their home matches Wednesday evenings at 6:45; away matches are at 6:15 unless specified otherwise on the fixtures list. If you get to be 45 any time this year, you are eligible to play; contact Jim Hawes or Paul Gardner if you want to be considered for the vets teams.

The A team came 6th out of 8 in division 1 and will remain in that division. The B team came 2nd in division 2 but, with extra teams joining the league, the 2 divisions have been split into 3 smaller ones which means the B's stay in division 2.
