Click here ...     for entries to the Wimbledon ticket draw. Again, if you're not there, your entry may not have got through so send it again to Moira. By the way, winners have to pay for the tickets, they're not free!

NOTE: Your name will appear in RED if the treasurer has received neither your subscription nor notification that you've paid by electronic transfer.

The draw for the 2008 Club Tournament is below. Please make every effort to play your matches by the date indicated and email the site administrator with your results as soon as possible. Please also write your result on the draw sheet in the clubhouse and email the result to the tournament organiser, Moira Macbeth and the webmaster, Mike Smith.

RULES - As last year, the rules are different for the rounds before the semi-finals. For these matches two sets with a Normal tie-break at 6-6 will be played. If the sets are 1-all, a Champions tie-break will be played in place of a 3rd set to decide the winner. In the Semi-Finals and the Final if the sets are 1-all, a 3rd long set will be played to decide the winner.

BOOKING - Once again there is a booking system for some of the courts. You don't have to book a court for a match but it ensures you will find the court is free when you arrive at the club. The booking sheets will be displayed in the clubhouse shortly. Courts are bookable in 2 hour sessions, 6:00 - 8:00 and 8:00 - 10:00. On weekedays, court 1 will be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Court 4 will be available on Mondays from 8:00 - 10:00. On Saturday and Sunday evenings, all 4 courts will be bookable, however, check the fixture list in case a junior match has been rescheduled. For semi-final matches, which can involve a long final set, two consecutive sessions may be booked. For all previous rounds, just one session may be booked. Although you cannot book on-line, click here to see when you can book courts.

BALLS - Remember the rule regarding balls. Both opponents should bring an unopened can of 4 balls (of championship quality) to their match. By spinning they decide which can of balls to use. At the end of the match the winner gets the unopened can to take forward to the next round, and the loser keeps the can of balls used for the match. This will only cost each player or doubles pair one can of balls per tournament and will ensure that every match is played with new balls. Note that balls can be supplied by the club at £4 a tube of 4, a much lower price than most sports shops. Contact Moira or Mike Smith if you want some.
