Crowthorne Tennis Club
Annual Club Tournament
The Crowthorne Annual Club Tournament is a knockout tournament that
starts around the end of April and culminates on Finals Day, which is
usually in the middle of July. This year it's on Saturday 14th July.
The Rules of the tournament can be seen by clicking on the right. Please try to complete your matches by the due date to avoid fixture congestion before finals day. Also let the organiser know your result as soon as possible and, if a match is booked for a certain date, let the organiser know the date. If you're using the On-line Booking system, this can be put in the optional Details box and will be on the booking email sent to the organiser. The organiser can then write it in the draw so that the other competitors know when that match will be played. This is particularly important if the match is going to be played near or after the due date.
Losers in their first match in the Men's Singles or Men's Doubles will be entered into
the Men's Singles or Men's Doubles Plate competitions. These matches will be played after
Finals Day and the Final will be on a Friday in September at 7:00pm.
Please note the rule regarding balls:-
a. Both opponents should bring an unopened can
of 4 balls of recognised championship quality to their match.
b. By spinning, they decide which balls to use.
c. At the end of the match, the winner gets the unopened
can of balls to use for the next match and the loser keeps the balls
used for
the match.
d. Balls are available from Richard McCully for £4.50
a tube.
